  • About

The fund aims to enhance community connections and the culture in Berwick-upon-Tweed and the surrounding area. Set up in 2005, the fund focuses on work that improves skills of local people, improves community cohesion and contributes to the unique and diverse culture of the town.

Your donation can help ensure that the fund continues to grow and meet the ever-changing needs of communities in Berwick.

As a collective giving fund, your money will be pooled with others, so a greater impact can be made.

How will my money make a difference?

Your donation is invested and grown. The ongoing income earned is given out as grants to important local causes.

Your money will be used to support a wide range of projects through grants made from the The Northern Angel Fund for Berwick. Projects that have benefitted recently include:

  • Activities and trips for local people who have recently suffered a stroke;
  • Supporting young carers living in and around Berwick;
  • Cataloguing life in North Northumberland and the Borders;
  • Offering free football sessions for young people aged 8 – 18.
