- About
Established by members of the region’s diverse Asian community to give back to the area in which they live, the fund helps bring different groups in society together.
The fund supports young people, older people and intergenerational projects and aims to create stronger communities and promote mutual respect and understanding.
As a collective giving fund, your money will be pooled with others, so a greater impact can be made.
How will my money make a difference?
Your donation is invested and grown. The ongoing income earned is given out as grants to important local causes.
Your money will be used to support a wide range of projects through grants made from the Asian Fund. Projects that have benefitted recently include:
• Creating a safe space for isolated individuals in Sunderland;
• Providing weekend and evening activities for young people in South Tyneside;
• Supporting a weekly drop-in service for older people in Northumberland.
