At the Community Foundation we nurture giving and philanthropy, matching generous people with our region's important community causes. Every year, we award grants to hundreds of small charities in the North East through funds set up by our donors.

How to support local communities today

1) Make an unrestricted donation to the Community Foundation using the ‘Donate’ button above. Your donation will go to our Vital Community Fund which gives us the greatest flexibility to respond to needs across our area.

2) Donate to one of our other funds listed below. If you want to give directly to a fund or cause that resonates with you.

When you donate to the Community Foundation, your money is invested into an endowment. The income from this endowment is used to generate grants to organisations supported by the fund.
